Hennessy Artistry July 2009 was awesome! A much bigger place than the previous KL Artistry. Don't have to fight with ppl for space. Or maybe I was at the VIP area.. XD

The Fart King

Someone was climbing from 10am till 6pm yesterday. Had lunch at about 1pm. And since then, that someone farted non-stop. GG.

Seriously... that someone kept farting for hours O_O. Must be the otak-otak that person ate for lunch. And because there was so many people in the climbing gym, the only place that someone could fart was when he was up the wall.

So the main objective for the day was to climb up the wall, and fart. After farting, must shake the pants a bit to release the trapped fart. Then only yell down to the person below to lower you down. What a day for that someone O_O.

The Blog Without Pictures

Gah. Finding it hard to blog without pictures.

Respect those who can write and write and write until blogger.com posts an error message saying 'You have reached the limit, please stop writing, it's boring, get a life.' Just kidding XD

Ok.. so lets start with these short stories/events/funny moments that happened not too long ago~~

Firstly, Sunway should really install those gigantic 7 Eleven airconds in their lifts. Gosh.. it can get really warm, especially when students would force their way into the lift as if they would suffer and rot if they took the stairs.

And if the lift says the max number of people it can take is 26 persons, dear Sunway Uni students would fit exactly 26 students into that lift.

Went to KFC and accidentally said to the lady cashier "Spicy breast ada tak?"

I don't understand why some drivers need 2 lanes to turn into the biggest junction. They are not driving fast, not driving a truck, or making a u-turn. Yet they must take up 2 lanes to turn left. Amazing noob.

Guys, ever tried taking your dslr with long zoom lens to the poolside with lots of people? Haha.

All I could imagine is that,
old ladies would act shy-shy while looking at you,
old men would cover their beer belly with a towel,
buff guys would somehow harden their muscles and run their fingers through their hair while doing the light-reflects-off-the-disco ball pose from Transformers,
bikini-clad ladies would slowly pull their shoulder backwards while crossing their legs,
little kids would be completely oblivious to your presence,
and maybe some pool officers might drag you away for invasion of privacy.

The cinema queue was empty. As I walked along the lane, I noticed something on the floor. A piece of folded paper. With a number 50 looking back at me.

I picked it up, and felt that it was thick. Turned out to be 2 RM50 notes folded together. Looked around and saw no one looking at me. Hmmmm...

What do you think I did after that? XD

New Zealand Natural

Just a random short short short post. New Zealand Natural had this promotion, giving out free ice creams to people whose years fall into a certain age category.

Went to Desa Parkcity for the ice cream. Btw, Desa Parkcity is a really nice place to live in. That would be my new home :) All I have to do is save RM 2mil for a nice condo unit in Desa Parkcity. I estimate.. that would take me... about... 30years? aih.. XD

Anyway, my next post is about how to choose your first dslr. A few asked me what to see in a camera this that. Yea.. so I'll be writing a short guide about it. Hope it helps :)

Star Trek Premiere

Awesome movie! Really love it. In my opinion, best star trek movie to date. You guys should watch it when it comes out next week.

Met many nuffnangers there. There was Diese with the premiere ticket right on top, GreenTeaBern doing the V sign (I can't do that sign XD), Diese with Joshuaongys, and Flyguy with Hitomi holding the cameras.

There were many activities for us to participate, from Ice Breaking to Treasure Hunting to Star Trek Trivia. Had fun doing the Treasure Hunt (though my team lost). We get to know 1Utama better, especially where Mr Baoz is.

Overall, nice Labour Day event :) Met new friends too. Once again, the movie was 5/5. Haha. Maybe cuz I'm a SciFi movie fan XD

And, I couldn't take John Cho's acting seriously XD. He was the same actor (Harold) in the Harold and Kumar movies. Hahaha.

Wah. It was extremely difficult for me to take clear sharp pictures. The performances were energetic and fast, making it hard to shoot at low shutter speed. I prefer taking pictures in a club without flash cuz it describes the atmosphere better. Or maybe I'm just not good with the flash yet :S haha.

Recently attended the Loreal Serie Nature Launch in a resort far away from city life (unfortunately, I don't know the name of the place). Gathered at Uptown 2 and was then driven 45mins away.

Ah.. have been missing in the blogging world. The usual excuse, too many things happening. Poor zhao has no time to scan through pictures and blog. Didn't even have time to check own blog. Haha.

Anyway, this is the long awaited 'long' post XD

When we eat at Rakuzen:

Rakuzen. Good place to eat the jap stuffs. It's in ss15 facing SJMC. Parking is the biggest problem though.

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to take food pictures with my lens. So yeah.. no food pics :S

Esther wants the D90 XD Btw, I'll be posting soon on the difference between the Nikon D90 and the new entry level Nikon D5000. From US prices, the D5000 ain't cheap.

When we go to Lookout Point:

Went to lookout point at 12am last night. I didn't even realise it was that late till I saw that the lights on KLCC were off. Plus I had a basketball tournament in less than 8 hours time.

Thanks to my super teammates, half a Sausage McMuffin with Egg, litres of 100plus and God's blessings, we were crowned champions :)

We met some really cool photographers up at lookout point. They were very helpful, lending us their tripod and letting us play with their flashguns.

Picture of jess above is taken with 4 flashguns. 2 behind her, 1 front bottom left and one front mid right. Tried to outline her with the flash, but the effect was minimal.

When we have no money:

After the bball comp, went berjalan-jalan with Jess at the new Tropicana Mall. They had a blogshop bazaar going on, and my friend was participating in it.

Haha. Went to the bazaar with zero cash on me and a few ringgit with Jess XD

We Love to Dance

I like to watch people dance. They look confident and energetic. I myself would like to dance. But I'm too kayu T_T haha.. you'll laugh if you watch me dance in a club.

The Accidental Shot

The weekend was a blast! and very tiring.

Celebrated April's birthday at Marche on Friday. Shot photos non-stop at Nottingham's Annual Dinner at Sunway Resort Hotel, and clubbed at MOS till 3am. Woke up at 3pm the next day.

And I have an English presentation on motivational theories this coming tuesday. Busy-ness maximum. Haha.

I love the above pic. It was an accidental shot, with the flashgun pointing directly to my poor tiny eyes while I was adjusting the settings on the cam.

Fast & Furious 4 Premiere

Thanks nuffnang once again! :) Got 2 tickets to the premiere of Fast & Furious 4. Niceeeee~~ and.. I invited Jess along.

Movie started at 9.15pm.
Had to collect tickets from 8.15pm to 9.00pm.
Set off from home at 7.15pm to pick Ev up.
Reached section 17 by 7.30pm.
Was early by half an hour. Thought there would be a crazy jam. But I was lucky.
However, it took me 30mins just to find Ev's place. Hahahahaha.
Apparently, there are 2 similar landmarks near her place.
And both of us used the wrong landmark.

This trip made me know section 17 much better XD

Anyway, back to the movie. Awesome movie. Great cars, hot girls, more cars, Vin Diesel's body is super pumped up as ever, Paul Walker's acting skills improved significantly, and I didn't see any Evo X in the movie. Awww..

You should check the movie out, though I heard that the movie is fully booked all the way till next week. Hmmmm..

Weee~~ internet is back! Wanted to post something lame a few days back, but lost the mood di.

Anyway, this post is about the bloggers gathering at Pavilion KL on the 28th March. Thanks guys for coming :)

The bloggers!! XD haha. So cool to see everyone. Sorry I was a bit late. First met up at Coffee Bean. Waited for about an hour, then headed down to the food court.

After makan, decided to hang out at starbucks for some coffee and chitchat.. but... no place to sit :(. Went to the starbucks on the upper floor and it was the same. Moved on to the stairs at the main entrance of Pavilion and were told that we can't sit or gather there. Aih..

So I decided to end the bloggers gathering early.. what to do :( no place to sit and chat. I know the gathering was kinda messy, due to my poor planning. First time plan ma :P the next gathering would be a much better one :)

Earth Hour. The hour where everyone turns off non-essential lights and electrical appliances. Was at KLCC to shoot the towers during the event.

Initially wanted to shoot KL city from Lookout Point, but the jam was so bad in KL, had to settle for KLCC, which was still good :) There were lots of people there with their dslrs and tripods.

I'm proud that Malaysia took part in this event. Lets be more aware of mother nature. Lets go green.

Balloons in the Air

1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009. Woke up at 5.30am just for this event. Had to reach friend's place by 6.45am. Have to be at Putrajaya by 7.45am, as photographers are allowed nearer to the balloons than the crowd at the fence.

Was running around outside the restricted field before 7.45am to shoot the balloons at different angles. Suddenly, I heard a faint announcement that photographers are allowed into the field. Looked at my watch to see 7.47am.

Ran to the entrance, only to be stopped and was told that the area was full, and no more photographers are allowed inside.... T_T Saw my friends inside, and I cried even more T_T_T_T. I even tried begging the guards to let me in. But they were strict and patiently said no.

Why why why why why did I bother to run around just for some stupid shots from the outside where I can take much better shots from the inside..... *drops to knees and sobs*

Suddenly, one of the guards ask the other, did Manchester United win yesterday? His friend said he doesn't know. I told the guard that Man-U lost, having heard that from waiken while on the way to Putrajaya. The guard was like "Betul ke? YES LA.. okok.. you boleh masuk la. Cepat."

I was so stunned and happy, I thanked the guard, and while running towards the gang, praised and thanked God all the way~~ :) I was overjoyed k XD

Ever wondered what's inside the balloon :) everyone knows that there's nothing inside but plain hot air.. but don't you feel that you must really see it for yourself..

There were soooo many photographers.. a few with some bazooka lens. I love those lens XD. There was even a kid about 4-5 years old holding a dslr. haha.. waiken managed to take a picture of the boy.

Celebrated an old friend's birthday last week at Garden in 1u. Nice place. The setting is very.. garden-ish. haha. A lot of whites and greens.

And the lighting is perfect for indoor photography without flash.

Isn't it great to celebrate birthdays with old friends. To know that we're still good friends after so many years :) Those who attended the birthday celebration were all old friends too. Aih.. suddenly... feel... so..... seasoned XD

Malaysian Dreamgirl 2

Attended the Malaysian Dreamgirl 2 top 11 at Mist Club courtesy of nuffnang. The event was great. And the goodie bag by HP was ultra cool XD

There was free flow of drinks that stopped flowing too soon. Haha.. guess everyone was extremely thirsty, with all the shouting over the dj's music, and all the mad cheering for the contestants.

Ahh.. more pics, less talking eh..

That's Elaine Daly, one of the judges for MDG. The dreamgirls were all showing their stuff in the fashion shows, and some were really good ;) From the pics, you can see where I was standing the whole time.

Some fortunate bloggers managed to position themselves right in the middle. But I think, from experience, photographers always have to fight for the best angle. haha. I'm quite pleased with my spot XD no one really blocked my view, though the gigantic speakers sometimes caused my hand to shake with their loud Booms..

Besides the fashion shows, we were entertained by belly dancers (I think)..

... and by Jules and Prem from Fly.fm. Funny couple XD Both were saying jokes and teasing each other with Prem also teasing the cool DJ. Haha.. the DJ was really sporting.

Weeee.. it was a great event. Really. Haha.. met nigel (flyguy) and hitomi there. Actually, the place was filled with bloggers and their dslrs.. If you have a dslr, you'll feel right at home at Mist Club yesterday.

Blogging and Law

Just got back from the Blogging and Law Conference by eLawyer in UM. Good talk. Really an eye opener. And the hall was almost full. Plus I saw a few nuffnangers, though I don't know their names. haha.

The conference was mostly conducted by 2 speakers, Nizam Bashir and Foong Cheng Leong. Both are lawyers, and both are bloggers. And because they are bloggers, they kinda understand more about the issues surrounding the law on blogging, the freedom of speech, copyright infringement etc..

However, I dare not post any issues discussed in the conference, as I may have quoted wrongly (since I'm not a law student), and some might use my words as law, and.. well.. yeaaa. They might get into trouble and blame me..

As these are serious issues, I do not want to take the risk. If you really want to know what was discussed, I think there are official recordings being distributed for RM20.

Among the common but very interesting matters are:

If I take a picture of a person, to whom does the picture belongs to

If I edit a picture, to whom does the picture belongs to

What can be called as seditious?

What defence do we have as bloggers?

And many many more.

Besides that, there was a award giving ceremony, to a essay writing competiton, and my friend sarah kate got an award! YAY! :)

Aih..too bad no one was looking at the camera. haha.

The Tall Climber

First of all, thanks guys for the wishes :) although I didn't do well in the comp, I really appreciate them all.

Unfortunately, I didn't take many photos of the comp. I was so nervous, I just can't think straight. My very first speed climbing comp, which I never practise. Everyone commented that I looked so depressed and worried. haha.

The comp was a part of a public event promoting crime free generation at Bukit Jalil. And it was so so arggghhh hot and bright that day. So hot till I was a bit dazed by the sun.

And, it seems that extreme heat causes facial hair to grow faster :S

The Sunway University Psychology Night 2009 was good. Fortunately, the ceiling was low, and was able to bounce the flash.
Had a great time there, met a lot of fun people XD

Sore Fingers

Almost everyday I wake up with my fingers feeling so sore, wondering what I did the night before. I remember having fun with the fingers.

Now I'm starting to sound gross. haha.
Well, I've been climbing. Climbing so often these days. Getting back into the sportsman mood. Climb till my fingers cry out. And subsequently injured one of my finger T_T.

Aih.. Been so busy lately. No time to even go online. Just enough to check mail, fb and timetable. Later tonight I have a bday dinner to attend *happy birthday michelle :)*, sat night I'm photographing a small event, and on sunday morning....... speed climbing competition~~

Nervous gila... Peer pressure made me join the comp. And with an injured finger, how laaaaa :( If you guys wanna check it out, it's at Bukit Jalil Putra Stadium from 8.30am onwards.

Cheeks are caused by the lungs. Means that we need to sleep at the correct time at night to reduce those pimples on the cheeks. Apparently, the lungs detoxify whatever and work best within the good sleeping times.

Nose are caused by just plain excessive oil.

Went berpicnic-picnic at the Bukit Jalil park a few days back. Though it was 10.30am by the time I arrived at the place (I know I'm late :P), it was still cooling. Nice place to lepak.

A rat made its most painful and fatal mistake just now by entering my house. With a stick, it was smashed a few times by my dad.

And why is my junkmail filled with penis enhancement adverts..? With words like 'supersize your cock', 'feel secure', 'extend it'...

I wonder how would the female junkmails be.. maybe in words like supersize your breast or enlarge your hole O_O(I seriously have no idea).

Actually, I don't know how big do guys want their stuff to be. In my opinion, if it's too big, then errr.. the upper part of your pants would be bulging all the time. (I think it's kinda ugly). And it would be hard to zip your pants cuz... you know.... *arghh.. have..to.. push..it.. aside.. to.. zip.. pants..*

A friend introduced a new term to me.. leathery boobies. She said there were a lot of them in France.

The Punisher

Managed to get the premiere tics to The Punisher from nuffnang! muahahaha. happy :)
This time, the premiere was better as nuffnang organised some activities before the movie.

There were many people, but I was so busy taking pictures that I forgot (and shy) to socialise. The only bloggers I know was Hitomi and Louis.

There was this shooting activity. Hahaha.. cool toy guns were used and all have their unique shooting pose.

We had to go through full body screening by Special Forces before we could enter the cinema hall.. just kidding XD

Even after entering the hall, we were treated to some play where the 2 SWAT guys tried to take down the "Punisher". But of course, the Punisher prevails.

Overall, the new Punisher movie was better than the previous one. More guns and a few funny scenes. The little girl in the movie isn't scared of all the killings and blood.

Thanks nuffnang again for the tickets :) It was a great outing.

Putrajaya, Revisited

Went to Putrajaya again for photoshoot.. this time at the famous bridge (I can't rmb the name of the bridge) and at the Botanical Garden.

With sheer passion for photography, we woke up at an ungodly hour of 5am to be able to reach Putrajaya before sunrise.

I didn't bring along a tripod, and taking pictures facing up with a lens that unzooms under it's own weight was difficult.. but well worth it :)
And I don't have a wide angle lens, so the pictures of the bridge below was cropped out (under landscape it was fine).

The Botanical Gardens was......... aih. They con us by making us pay RM3 for entrance fee and RM5 for camera fee. Walked along the path towards the Morocco Pavilion, and we saw that you can actually enter without paying O_o".

The place was ok. A bit small for RM8.. but can see they put a lot of effort constructing the place.

So, that concludes the Putrajaya phototrip. Anyone up for the next phototrip, let me know :)

CNY 2009

Because of sunday's crappy discovery, for days, I've been ripping out my hair, throwing tantrums, having sleepless nights, squeezing orange juice into my eyes to distract me from the depression..

Now I'm bald and my eyes are as red as red. Just kidding~

Actually, I didn't rip my head hair, but I plucked every single hair from my legs. Legs now ultra shiny and can see own reflection. Now I'm being lame. haha.

Chinese New Year 2009 was ok. Normal la..

Went back to Ipoh and Sungai Siput for the new year. Aih.. I think I'm too much of a city person. The lifestyle in Ipoh is just.... too.... slow.... Even Mcd Drive-through took about 15 minutes to prepare my order. And I was the only customer.

I'm not saying Ipoh is a bad place. The lifestyle doesn't suit me. The mornings in Ipoh are always cool and fresh with birds chirping like there is no tomorrow, whereas here in KL, we wake up to the haze and massive jam.

Visited my tax lecturer with some friends in Klang after returning from Perak.

Her wedding was a couple of weeks back, and she looks so happy :)
And her sister in-law's dogs are so adorable. Huge golden dogs with giant tongues bigger than your palm.

Too bad we couldn't go to Camerons for a photoshoot, but we went to Putrajaya (again) instead. More photos in the next post~~ ;)

SHIT YOU lousy lame tuuuuut mechanics who fixed my car. They took my original cd covers, my cool keychain from a friend, and.. they even took my mum's old asadi slippers O_o !!!!!

ARGHHHHHHH!!! Frustrated till can almost faint ar T_T.
I trusted them T_T asadi slippers pun nak ambik. Kalau crocs boleh faham la, tapi... asadi slippers........

Went to Bukit Tinggi for some photoshoot fun. Nice place to take pictures. The air was cool and fresh, even when the sun was so so so bright.

Next photoshoot should be at Cameron Highlands after Chinese New Year.

The movie was not as cool as the previous ones. And the ending was kinda "errrr.. I thought the bad guy died di, why still walking about wan?"
But other than that, I don't wanna spoil the movie. Go watch it yourself, it brings more sense to the first two movies.

Neway has seriously huge rooms. That's the first thing that came to my mind when I entered. And the food was ok.

Went to Neway a couple of weeks ago. Friends were sporting enough to hear my hoarse and deep but surprisingly melodious singing.

We had about 7 of us, but the we were given a room for I think 20 people. Heck, we have enough space to conduct a yoga class in there, or have a breakdance competition without breaking anything.

Aih.. feel so jakun to see a big room. Maybe because the room I went to in Redbox was very small.

Later, Skybar time. Cool place. Great view of the twin towers. I haven't been to Luna Bar before, so I can't compare.

Just going to neway and skybar in one day = RM93 T_T
But we had fun :) and the girls love their photos taken.

The past 3 weeks were great. So many gatherings, laughters, noobings.. and uni starts next week T_T

Some time ago, met up with some nuffnang bloggers.. Yenniedoll, BernardC and Rumi. Nice fun people :) Thought there would be more bloggers joining us.. but oh well, next time then..

Unfortunately, I was noobing with the camera, and almost all the other photos were blur. T_T I really feel like kicking myself hard when I reviewed the photos..

Next, we travelled 5 hours plus to Taman Negara. It was a great trip.. until I had allergy on the last night there =.=

Throughout the 3 hours boat ride to taman negara.. the only animal we saw was this:

Lastly, 18th Dec was my 21st birthday.. and my cool friends (planning credit goes to shaun) took me to genting to celebrate it. Haha.. it was a good thing that I got allergy during Taman Negara, cuz the medicine said "elakkan minuman keras".
They thought of getting me drunk.. but too bad~ haha.

Thanks everyone for making that birthday the best birthday ever :) So many people were involved. I admit, I was very touched.

Arcade

A bunch of us went to the arcade a few days back. Was waiting for the movie, and we had about 45mins to the screening. And I wanted to play the Air Hockey Table ( I should get one of those XD ).

Ah.. The arcade. Brings back memories.
Last time they had this Sega City when Sunway Pyramid just opened. That was gazillions years ago. And I would frequent that place like a person without a home. You know la.. small boys are crazy over the arcade at that time.

Now times have changed. Even adults visit the arcade these days.

Classic example of indirect violence education to the younger generation.

But this is not as bad as idiots smoking just next to their infant child. Poor child suffering from secondhand smoke because of puffing happy stupid dad.

Dragon-i

My first time in Dragon-i. Deco was superb, price slightly on the higher side, food was yummy, and desserts tasted good but poorly presented.

I was so looking forward to take pictures of the desserts, they look so good in the menu.. but was disappointed.
Even mamak ais kacang looks better.. :P

Before deciding to go to Dragon-i, we went to Friendster Cafe. We sat down, looked at the menu, counted the choices of food that was available, closed the menu, and walked away.
Aih..I don't want to discuss about the menu.

Grape Shake

Italiannies. Nice food. Big portions. And they have the best fruit drink ever, the Grape Shake.
This is the real grape juice, they blend real grapes, so it taste like real grapes. Erm.. taste exactly like the grapes you pop into your mouth. Now in drink form.
So, they blend the grapes, with the grape skin and all, to give you the grape taste.

Which spells the perfect disaster....... when you start talking. Worse, when you start smiling. Worst, when you smile for the camera.

All the grape skin are stuck in between your teeth!!! Walau~~~ And you can't feel the skins in your mouth! Imagine... dark purple stuff in between your teeth, and as soon as you smile, swooosh.. every head turns to look at your mouth O_O.

And I always ask everyone to try the grape shake, cuz I really love the drink. Now they would be thinking, "haha..see la. Padan muka. Always force us to try the drink."

Imagine, photographer to the crowd:

This is going to be a short random post. Not feeling well and just days before the exams. Scary~~

Went to the doc for some med, and I asked him why is my body always feeling slightly warm inside for the past month, as in, everytime I wake up, I don't feel fit and healthy, but feel a feverish warmth.
And he said, my metabolism is very high..

Looking back the past month, it's very true. I haven't been climbing much because of studies. From the usual 3-5 times a week reduced to only maybe once a week.

Looks like I need to always workout or play sports to be healthy ;) sitting at home resting for a long time will only make me sick. :P hmmmm.. but pushing the body all the time will make me die at a younger age. aih.

The Valley

Was studying at the library a few days back. Chose a big table at the corner, less distractions.

The was this girl who shared the table with me, and she was using a laptop with earphones. Since it was a nice corner, I decided to continue studying at the same table. It was all quiet and peaceful..

Until her boyfriend came. Jeng jeng jeng...

I thought that since there was a short divider separating the people facing each other, it'll be fine. haha..

You know those times where you're reading something, but you can "see" from the corner of your eye the surroundings? I dunno why I had to take notice, but from the corner of my eye, can see the couple getting closer and closer and closer..till can only see 1 shadow instead of 2.. (they are facing each other).

Then you know, you sometimes just had to look up to see the people around you.. just for fun.. then err.. you see a couple..... locking lips...

Of course you'll look back at your books and try your best to continue studying. Rude to stare at people kissing rite. Plus they were not making any noise. Total silence. And that itself is most distracting.

Anyway.. I was studying, but still "seeing" from the corner of my eyes the SURROUNDINGS and very little of the couple, they are still one shadow, when suddenly.. the girl removed her jacket...

Wah.. the library was so cold, still wanna take out jacket.. looks like the action is getting really hot for her.

And, it's just human nature to you know...look around.. then I saw it... the dark valley of prosperity and hair O_O just kidding bout the hair part XD. Like I had time to examine every single blade of grass on the twin hills.

I'm not a pervert k.. just that I happen to see that massive cleavage. Come on la. I was sitting opposite her. And it's the type of dress she was wearing, those low low cut dress which reveals almost everything.

As a gentleman, I immediately looked back at my books and didn't look up till she and her bf went away.

Yes I had my camera with me, and no, I didn't take any picture to describe the scene :P
All those hamsup fellas who expected a pic, be disappointed.

Root Beer Disappointment

Had a very long class today. 9 hours class on a saturday...... *sigh~
Anyway, after class, was so hungry and wanted to eat somewhere good, then thought of..A&W

Oh the delicious root beer and yummy curly fries.. haven't had those for a long time~

Headed over the the counter,

"kak, nak combo 2. Upgrade ke Curly Fries, dan boleh tak buat root beer nampak macam sangat sangat sedap?"
"huh?"
"erm.. isi rootbeer hingga nampak gila sedap..."
"you mau tambah rootbeer?"
"err..tak apa la."

Aiyo.. my BM sucks. All I wanted her to do was to fill the root beer with lots of that bubbles thingy on top.. look like Guinness Stout. That looks very cool. Plus I expected the root beer mug to be chilled.. I'm sure you guys seen it before.

I asked for all of these to take the perfect root beer picture...

But I was deeply disappointed... very disappointed.

As you can see.. the root bear no bubbles at all!! and the mug not chilled!! Walau..... All the expectation, all the thoughts, of wanting to drink the perfect root beer and drown in ecstasy. All gone T_T.

Haih.. was feeling so down that negative thoughts came to my mind. Now the root beer looks like super super super super super super super super super dark piss. Like someone didn't pee for days and never drink water. arghhhh....

Haha.. even though looks like dark piss.. taste damn nice lo XD
Most probably the best tasting piss ever..

I think it's because of the long hours in uni today.

Pushing aside all the sick thoughts of mine, A&W root beer is still the best :) Really. The taste is great. The mug is heavy. The straw is white. It's all good :)

Pooky Photoshoot

And yes, the teddy's name is Pooky, as in Garfield's bear Pooky. And yes again, if not mistaken, it sounds like a chinese bad word (not sure of the meaning cuz I'm a banana).

Detained

Was detained by the Pavilion guards while taking this photo. Well, they didn't exactly stop me from taking pictures of buildings at the position where I was standing.

But they stopped my friend (another photographer), and that made me slightly frustrated.

That got me thinking, how are we suppose to take photos of buildings? We were standing in a public area, unless the paved area around Pavilion is not considered public area. If that paved area is under private property, then the only way to take the pics of the exterior of Pavilion is by standing on the road. haha.

TheStar R.Age is having this Click 2 Win photo competition, with the theme Architecture. But how are we going to take photos, if we are always detained? Plus a lot of nice architectures are found in the building.

I respect the rules about copyright this that. Pavilion and KLCC have this sign that no cameras are allowed. These signs are only seen in the building. Does that mean that the rule extends to building grounds?

But then....I managed to take this pic:

The place is sprawling with guards. None of them stopped me. Hmmmm... (maybe they didn't see me)

Very confused la. Is there any place where I can find the words that states people are allowed/not allowed to take picutes of private properties from public area?

Digital Camera Magazine August 2008 pg82 has lots of answers. According to the magazine:

"Generally speaking, you can legally take photographs of private property from a public street. Neither a security guard nor the owner can prevent this. But photographers should be careful if the property is a Government building..."

But the magazine is based on the UK law (and there's a disclaimer).. I'm not sure it applies here in Malaysia. Haih..

Oooo Chicken Wings

Went to Jalan Alor for chicken wings a couple of days back. Gila sedap~~~~~ *salivates to the max*
I seldom eat chicken wings (cuz they are expensive) and was quite full at that time, but after taking the first bite... can't stop eating XD

Thanks mei ann for introducing the yummy food to me.. and made me pay RM16 for 2 pairs of chicken wings.. (so expensive T_T).

And.. before going to Jalan Alor.. I was at my friend's place in Bangsar.. and she has a wicked table..

Wicked rite~ you can turn the table to various positions. Good for extending the table for guests to put their drinks, and shrinking the table for more leg room.

Also useful if some guy is laughing his head off at you, you can just swing the table towards him.. The table is at the groin level.

Ultimate Hostel Room

Was in Nottingham Malaysia, and my friend has Red Alert 3 in his com. He invited me to check out the game in his girlfriend's room (his com is in the gf room).. and WHOA~~!!

Like hotel room leh.. haha.

The toilet has scented candles!

The bedroom has a water dispenser!

Has a mini mini minibar

Windows are tinted

Curtains are personally selected

Room lighting was changed from the white light to the yellow light

Has a room carpet with big animal soft toy for deco

Has a wall clock with some thermometer function

Below are not relevant to the ultimate room

But I just want to make the list longer

The wardrobe is packed with clothes (enough clothes for 5 families)

She has different shoes for everyday for 2 weeks

Seriously.. the room is uber cool. It's just a hostel room.. big enough for only 1 person.. but she changed the room 360 degrees. They even thought of installing a plasma tv in the toilet.......

And... Red Alert 3 is nice~ :)

Duck Hunting

Went duck hunting.. with the camera. Nottingham Malaysia has this lake with a few ducks residing in it. Felt like taking pictures.. so I went there, only to find out that the light was not good and that it was about to rain :(

But since I was there.. take pictures only laaa~

The lake was extra teh tarik colour that day..aih.

And I think the brown ducks are intimidated by the white ducks lo. When comes to feeding time, can see that the brown ducks kept a distance away from the feeder, cuz the white ducks were there..
Plus, the feeder didn't give the brown ducks enough food..

This injustice must be dealt with now!! *orders a truckload of duck food just for the brown ducks* I personally like the brown ducks more. I think they look cuter XD

A feeble attempt at macro photography. This is the closest working distance I could get. Hmmmm.. can someone get me a macro lens ;)

What would you do [ bra strap ]

What would you do if you see a girl (and you are a guy), she is wearing a spaghetti strap top and one of her bra strap broke? plus she didnt notice it..

Would you go up to her and say "hi..erm.. err..hello.. I, erm.. happen to notice that... your.. aih.. bra strap has broken." then you'll go all red.

Scenario 1:

Girl says to you "oh thanks for telling me :) you save me from a lot of embarrassment" and she puts on her jacket and starts to have a great conversation with you..

Scenario 2:

Girl feels so embarrassed about the bra strap that she shouted "you pervert, why are you staring at me, especially at my bra!!" And the people around thought that you snapped the bra strap on purpose, and they pounce on you and call the police..

Or would you just let her discover herself that her bra strap is dangling for over an hour and that her bra itself is out of place.. (Dunno how the bra system works).

She will be O_O!!!!!!!! most probably swear to never see daylight ever again, and whenever anyone talks about bras, she'll go hysterical..

But if she is cool about it, then..well.. life goes on as usual :)

Ate at Amuleto in Mid Valley recently. Cool place. Nice food. A bit pricey though.

Watched James Bond too. Although some reviews claim that the latest Bond movie sucks, I think it has quite a nice ending.

I graduated with first class honours Bachelor Degree in Stoning yesterday. Thought of going for Master's but.. decided to stop stoning.

The topics were so dry.. can feel the whole class was just not concentrating at all.

Until,

Our lecturer suddenly said "ok class, we have some entertainment"
A beatboxer and a "dancer" went up stage and performed. haha.

The beatboxer was a girl..so cool rite. Until the guy started dancing.... =.="
All he did was just spinning around and waving his hand.. lol.

But, they were sporting enough to entertain our stoning minds. Good job~

Nottingham Msia Badminton

This is my first sports shooting session. And it was DISASTROUS T_T T_T T_T. *wails and wept like a monkey*

Almost every pic was blur T_T. The pics looked good on the cam screen, but after reviewing it on the com............... *crawled towards the bed and cried myself to sleep*

Well, first time ma. Will improve next time. Haha.

The 18-200mm lens is amazing~! hahaha.. can zoom in anytime and capture all the players expressions.. but unfortunately, all blur. aih.

There was one girl playing and kept on glancing at me as I was taking her pics. Good thing her team won, or she will blame the photographer. I wonder what happens if the photographer uses flash during the tournament. GG. Sure kena impaled by all the players.

This shot was taken at a restaurant in pyramid, pappa rich (not sure how to spell). No editing, no extra props.. just a dark coloured shirt as a background and the normal lighting of the place.

And, our class marathon has ended (finally T_T *tears of joy*).

Classmate Willy designed and finished a thank you card during class itself, decorating it with words frequently used by our dear lecturer, and we managed to print a last minute picture for the card. Good thing sunway uni has this photo printing kiosk thingy.

This is the kind lecturer who got us free coffee. The lecturer who pushed us so so so hard to finish a 45mins question within 15-25mins. The lecturer who always asked us to slap ourselves for some reason. Or to slap the person sleeping next to you. The lecturer who constantly made us laugh at her empty threats of killing us and shut ups.

Great teacher. :)

In the exam hall. Paper is 3 hours long. 4 questions. Each 25 marks. 20 minutes left. First 3 questions were horrible. Last question untouched. What would you do?

Option 1:

Sit and cry.
Option 2:

Try to come up with ingenious ideas of making the paper disappear after they collected it, then pray that they will award you with bonus marks for losing your paper.
Option 3:

Apply every exam technique taught by lecturers and do not stop writing till time is up, no matter how bleak the situation is.

This is the post that will blow your mind.. the post about zhao.

As you all know, zhao is an uber cool dude, so cool, so awesome, life always seems better when you hang out with him. Plus, his birthday is coming up soon, that is on the 18th of Dec.. you know you wanna shower him with gifts, because it's so cool to buy him presents and lunches..

Lets talk more about the ultra hebat zhao. Currenly studying in sunway uni, doing ACCA (crazy crazy course.. haha). Loves rock climbing and photography. Lazy to do tags XD. Wishes for someone to help him buy Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home (currently out of stock everywhere T_T), wishes he can spread his awesome-ness to the world. And.. just kidding. Who wants to know all these facts..

Fine food

The new eatery in sunway uni. Iranian Fine Cuisine. wow.. we have a fine cuisine now.. replacing the beloved lemongrass chicken.

The lemongrass chicken, per plate costs RM7.. was considered quite expensive.
And this iranian fine cuisine is serving dishes with a hefty price of RM20 - 30.. there was even a dish costing RM41....

Aiyooooo......... RM41..... T_T

I wanna support any newcomer to the miserable sunway uni cafeteria, but serving fine food in a university is just not a good idea.. unless they are targeting foreign students..

Anyway, how many people can you fit in a lift ar? you would say, depends on the size of the lift.. but how big can a lift be, especially in sunway uni?
The amazing students of sunway always manage to squeeze about 20-24 people in the lift..the limit is 24.

That's the size of a small class..haha.

Exam started at 2.00pm.. Financial Reporting paper. *stress stress*
Reached uni at 1.45pm.. oh no.. I'm so late~~!! rushed to the exam venue.. "why the corridor so empty wan.. don't tell me they all entered the exam hall di.. T_T" ran to the main door.. to find:

Only 6 students waiting outside the exam hall...out of about 250 students. Wah~ 15 minutes before the paper, and only 6 students waiting. So chilling ar everyone..

Not bad rite the quality of the pic above. Taken with the N95 8GB.. with no editing. Just tilting a few degrees and resizing it.. I find the colours very accurate.

okok.. now back to studies.

Ladies in the dude's washroom

I'm not on hamsup-mode k.. I just so happen to come across the newspaper article in the previous post and thought of blogging about it.

And just so happen that everytime I use the toilets in public places such as 1utama, the female janitors love to enter and clean the toilets..

Pee-ing at the urinals halfway and some lady with a mop will enter.. Come on laaaa.. place a sign outside the toilet saying that you're cleaning the place laaa
Not simply walk into the toilet and start cleaning when guys are pee-ing..
"should I continue to pee, or jam my poor bladder and shift to another toilet?"

Where's the privacy??

How bout we male janitors barge into the female toilets? how bout that? confirm 10 pairs of slippers fly at the poor guy's face, maybe some pepper spray are involved, screaming and all the commotion.. girls crying on front page news claiming that the world is full of perverts..

Then the female janitors leh??? barging into male toilets... WE GUYS PEE AT THE URINALS K..semua pun boleh nampak.. plus the female janitors will wait by the wall, observing everyone pee-ing. I dunno why they wanna wait in the toilet for everyone to leave..why cant they wait outside?

Anyway, even if a guy barges into the female toilets, what can he see? i guess just a few long lines outside each cubicles, with some by the mirror applying their make-up.. that should be all rite............

All the girls will be pee-ing in the cubicles with the door closed.. How to see anything?

I've never entered a female toilet before, so I dunno exactly what to expect to see..

Sex on the beach

Was just thinking, when you do it.. you need it to be really smooth rite. All the action must have smooth friction..

Erm.. I dunno how to put it into words, but you get the idea.. that having sand inside the hole or on the stick isn't a nice thing to happen. Having sand in your mouth is bad enough, but having sand in between 2 thin layers of skin is.....

Imagine:

*while guy is inserting his stick into the girl's hole*

Girl: Ouch ouch ouch!! ahhh...it hurts..go slowly..dont push it too fast.
Guy: Okok.. I'll do it slowly.

*fully inside, now trying to remove*

Girl: ARGhhhhh..it hurts dammit. Stop moving!!

Reading michelle chan's blog made me wanna do a food review too. Went to Zanmai recently, and ordered lots of salmon dishes for the review, since she blogged about Unagi.

You know...i suck at writing reviews.. As you can see, the previous post on the macro capabilities of the D60 and N95 was like hanging and didnt have a conclusion.
This time, i'm lost on what to write about the salmon dishes i ordered. T_T
Ermmm.. all i can say is that, it tasted good, like how salmon should taste like.

Okok.. let me try and write a bit more..

Zanmai is a great place to chill out and eat. Good food at a good price. No doubt. The salmon dishes i ordered was the Salmon Temaki, Coral Roll and the classic Salmon Nigri.

Well, salmon nigri and salmon temaki tasted like how it should taste like. Haha. Dont know how to explain how they taste like.
I can tell you how wasabi tastes like though.. Wasabi is The Green Stuff, the stuff everyone craves for, the stuff which inspires you to go the distance, recommended to be consumed in large spoonfuls for that exhilarating burst of flavours

Was in library, doing some studying, saw this word "indenture". Hmmmm.. apa tu? okok..go find the meaning of the word.

Went to the shelves of books, to find a huge ass dictionary~~
Seriously gila besar.. *like so jakun*

See!! so big rite!! Compared it with a so called huge phone and the N95 was dwarfed by the dictionary.
Plus, there's the title "Shorter Oxford English Dictionary".

Walau.. then the Complete Oxford English Dictionary can stop a bullet lo.. maybe can even stop lightning strike.

Cats on the road

More like cute small kittens on the road who stare innocently at you..

Was late for class this morning, rushed to do all the morning business, ran to the car, and drove off fast..
Reached a narrow road, only to find 2 kittens resting on the road...

"ok..just drive nearer, and they will run away.."
Drove the car nearer... kittens didnt budge..

"fine..will rev the engine to scare the kittens away.."
Freed the clutch, and tekan minyak. Kittens just stare blankly at the car..

"argghh..okok. Must chill. Should i reverse and take a super long alternative route, or just run over them?"
Haha. Not running over them laa.. but decided to skillfully manoeuvre past them..

"please please please please dont move under the car...pleaseeeee..."
Was quite afraid of flattening them..

However~~~ all was good..the kittens didnt move. *phew*

Why the mother or father cat didnt teach them anything wannnn...
At least teach the kittens "when a car is approaching, dont run across the road, or dont just sleep on the road.."

See the lame cats just watching their kittens on the road when a huge Waja is approaching them..aih. Poor parenting man..

Decided not to do any more comparison between D60 and N95.. can't review well at all..haha. Maybe next time la.

And the verdict of the Macro test is: I dunno laa.. haha. (lousy tester) Just wanted to take pictures with each camera to show you the difference.

But generally, the D60 produces better colour, sharpness, this that of what you expect from a DSLR. (obviously......)

D60 vs N95 8GB [ macro ]

Well.. not the real macro.. just a close shoot up. Didn't use tripod, so pics are a bit blurry, plus lighting was poor. Uploaded the pics with photobucket for better comparison (larger pics).
Used the nightstand in my room and placed the subject under the fluorescent light.

First up, is the N95 8GB.

General settings:-
Scene mode: Close-up mode
Light sensitivity: ISO Auto

Distance between lens and subject: 10cm
White balance: Fluorescent

Distance between lens and subject: 4-5cm
White balance: Auto

Distance between lens and subject: 4-5cm
White balance: Fluorescent

Next, the Nikon D60.

Distance between lens and subject: 11cm
Scene mode: Macro
White balance: Auto
Light sensitivity: ISO Auto

Distance between lens and subject: 11cm
Scene mode: Aperture-priority
Aperture: f5.6
White balance: Fluorescent
Light sensitivity: ISO 800

It is recommended to place the N95 8GB between 10cm to 60cm (stated in the phone) and to place the D60 11cm away from the subject for the highest magnification.

However, as you can see, by placing the N95 at 10cm away from the subject, the subject is a little small in the frame. Placing it 4-5cm away didn't ruin the autofocus.

This is the 1st time I'm doin a small review. Kinda sucks. Not well written. Blurry pics. Aih~ Hope the next one would be much better :)

Langkawi [ part 2 ]

Langkawi was fun. A short trip, but fun. Played lots of beach sports, mainly frisbee and soccer.

Threw the frisbee from one end of the field to the teammate on the other end with high precison and accuracy, and shirley said that was the most awesome shot ever. Whahahahaahah.

Wai ken, standing 2 meters away from me, threw the frisbee and hit my head. Wai Ken = Super Noob. ( I was his teammate =.= )

Anyway, here are some pics.

Telaga Tujuh was great~! haha. The water was cold. The light was just nice to take pics.
Surprisingly, I didnt see any monkeys around. The last time i was at telaga tujuh 2 years ago, we had to be wary of those cheeky monkeys stealing stuffs from our bags.

Played a couple of drinking games on the 1st night. JD with water sucks big time.

Disappointment

Was searching for this game for some time. Finally found it in Toys"R"Us. It was rm12. I immediately grabbed the box and paid for it. Later michelle and shaun pointed out, "ceh.. bamboo and only 30 sticks" =_= Such a disappointment. Wanted the plastic ones.
Anyway, was my fault for not reading the details on the box before paying.

Random notes: Putrajaya's climbing gym is seriously huge. Nikon D90 is out. My chin is itchy. Cacat Finger chopped off a part of her finger and fainted. There is holiday tmr. A toothbrush is a very useful tool to clean your teeth.

Lets meet up again people :) Oh, and a side info. If you walk really fast from Bank Negara to Pudu Bus Station, you can reach there in 15mins.

So sorry for making you guys walk that day. The sunday jam was just horrible. Will treat you guys half a sushi~

I smell

Class started at 8am.. about 30mins later, there was this sweet smell, like someone using apple smell perfume.. asked my friend bout it, and both of us started smelling around.

Then I suddenly thought that.. maybe... the apple smell was actually fart. Better stop smelling. *shudders*

Later on, i bought coffee from the vending machine. And the coffee smelled like durian. Serious~! I guess the apple smell earlier on messed up my nose.

Towards the end of the class, confirmed.. someone farted. =_= aih.. looked around to see who was looking a bit uncomfortable (the person sure feel shy cuz farted super smelly), but everyone around me looked serious and concentrating in class.

Not bad ar the farter, pro in concealing his evil deed.

Nightmare

I dreamt that i was in camp5. I left my crocs at the locker area. When i returned to take my crocs, all the jibbitz were GONE!

Woke up immediately. haha.. The dream was so real and vivid, for a moment i really thought that someone actually stole my jibbitz.. They are not cheap k.. costing around rm8 to rm10 per jibbitz.

Great weather.. just a little wet.. clothes can't dry fast enough~

But it's cooling. That's all that matters. Can sleep well at night :)
